Digital Painting Lips Tutorial

If you're ready, let's start !

 Step 1 

Assuming you've already completed the line work layer, fill the upper lip with colors 1-4. starting with the darkest color near the edge, and gradually getting to the lightest color in the middle
Fill the line the separates the upper and lower lip with color 8, the darkest color in the palette
Fill the bottom with colors 5 and 6_ Use the darker of the two, color 6, near the edge_ Ilse color 5, the lighter of the two colors, in the middle Use color 7 near the line separating the upper and bottom lip 

 Step 2 

Hide the lineart layer. Use a low opacity soft u) round brush to blend the colors until it looks smooth_ (Follow the link in the description for a tutorial on blending)

 Step 3 

Add to the realism by making subtle lines on the top lip, using the color picker, or eyedropper, tool Make more noticeable lines on the bottom lip, using the same tool Also, use colors 9 and 10 with a low opacity soft round brush (or airbrush) to add highlights

 Step 4 

Add fmal highlights using color 11, and make sure everything looks even!! This is 11. the touch up step.
