How to Draw a Anime Water?

If you're ready, let's start !

 Step 1
1. Pick your base colour
You can also do greens/reds etc.
since water can change colour due to can barely see it for now!

 Step 2
2. Gradient light to dark (subtle)
Add a different hue at the bottom too!
(pick a hue that's close to your original colour on the colour wheel)
i picked purple but you can barely see it for now!)
 Step 3

3- Multiply layer, add water ripples.
Draw in some subtle lines in the water.
And darken the gradient a bit more.
 Step 4
4. Overlay with secondary colour
I don't care about technical water physics,
I just put the secondary colour at some
random places to make it interesting.

 Step 5
5. Luminosity some water lines
Use blue/purple for lumo.
Add mostly where the light will hit the water.
And do a subtle airbrush over that area too to lighten.
Step 6
6. Optional reflection
Duplicate and flip vertically then blur, since
water tends to reflect on surfaces.
And I also made the drawing lightly ligher so it's
not so solid looking.
