 How to paint a crystal ball

 Step 1 

-set up base selection using elliptical
marguee tool or freehand

 Step 2 

-lock transparent pixies
-Use soft round brush with darker color or use multiply tool

 Step 3 

-for ıılıghts i use the color dodge tool

 Step 4 

-set. up darkest shadow in the bottom of the sphere with highlights

 Step 5 

-Set up highlights at the top of the sphere alternate between I 00 to 50 percent opacity

Step 6 

-for cleanup I usually like
to use more textured brushes such as the chalk brush
